Teething can be a tough phase—for babies and parents alike! When those tiny teeth start pushing through the gums, it can cause irritability, drooling, and discomfort. But don’t worry—we’re here to help you understand the process and provide safe, effective ways to soothe your baby’s teething pain.

When Does Teething Start?

Most babies begin teething between 4 to 7 months, although the first tooth can appear as early as 3 months or as late as 12 months.

The lower central incisors (bottom front teeth) are usually the first to come in.

🦷 By age 3, most children will have all 20 baby teeth.

Common Signs of Teething

  • Excessive drooling
  • Swollen or tender gums
  • Increased chewing or biting on hands or toys
  • Irritability or fussiness
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Rubbing the cheek or pulling the ear
  • Low-grade fever (below 38°C is common)

When to Call the Dentist or Doctor

  • Baby refuses to eat or drink

📅 Book your baby’s first dental visit by age 1 – we’ll help monitor teething and oral development.

Start Dental Care Early

Even before teeth appear, wipe your baby’s gums daily with a soft cloth. Once the first tooth erupts:
